Seychellois-born Audrey Bonvin-Dechoux has recently released a book of the same name

Think of Seychelles books and one often sees and expects tourism or history books, but Seychellois born Audrey Bonvin- Dechoux has just published a book entitled Modern Business Etiquette together with one of her associates Annabelle Utelli from her home in Montreux in Switzerland. A copy of the book which is printed in Charleston in the USA was this week presented to Alain St. Ange, the Minister for Tourism and Culture in the presence of Anne Lafortune, the principal secretary (PS) for Tourism by Mrs Bovin- Dechoux.

Audrey Bovin-Dechoux is a business consultant based in Montreux in Switzerland. In 2010 she published her first book entitled Manners for Children. She obtained a dual degree in hospitality and business management from Northwood University in Switzerland. She also followed a three year course on body language in Switzerland. Mrs. Bonvin- Dechoux has worked in luxury hotels, travel agencies and several hospitality institutions dedicated to education in Seychelles and in Switzerland.

The book Modern Business Etiquette concentrates on what is expected of people in their professional life. In her introduction Mrs Bonvin-Dechoux writes:- “You might have succeeded in your professional life, and you might feel that neither this question nor its answer concerns you. After all, you have made it so far, and you keep on being successful. Or so you think. But in today’s world, where competition is fiercer, lots of people are lining up to take your place or to impress your customers. Your competitors are not only those found on your street or in your town but those miles away from you. So what do you do about it?

How do you become a savvy professional? We all have our own notions of business etiquette. Some avoid considering its importance because they fear or reject the rules and codes established by our predecessors”.

The book is available at Amazon.
